On 16 March, 2018, Prof. Y. L. Wong was invited by The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) to deliver a seminar on the performance of different passive fire protection materials and solutions to enhance fire protection of existing buildings. In the seminar, the performance and limitations of different passive fire protection materials were discussed. Moreover, some common problems of passive fire protection provision in existing buildings was highlighted and methods of remedial measures was proposed.
