A workshop “Getting Start with GIS” was held on 12 October 2021, as part of the activity to enhance knowledge and learning for the course CIV352 Environmental Impact Assessment and Management. Two speakers, Mr. Alvin Chan and Ms. Joy Chan, from ESRI China (Hong Kong) Ltd., were invited to share their knowledge and experience in using Geographical Information System (GIS). Mr. Chan is an experienced GIS Analyst and Ms. Chan is a senior marketing professional who has held various GIS educational programmes. Students have learnt the basic components of GIS platform and updated applications in research, construction, environmental and other related industries.
